Susan called about a mimosa that was going downhill and she wanted help fast. Not generic advice. Actual guidance.
Jason was the one who came out. Susan couldn’t stop praising him. She called him extremely knowledgeable, professional, and personable. He inspected the mimosa, explained what he was seeing, and talked through what could realistically be tried. The work got handled quickly, and she said she liked the results at the time.
Even with that effort, the mimosa still declined later and eventually died. She was clear about that too. No fault on Tip Top. Sometimes a tree is already too far gone.
Location: Antelope Valley, CA
Service: Tree Treatment, followed later by Tree Removal
Equipment Used / Tools: Jobsite safety gear. Inspection and pruning tools. Root-zone and soil tools for treatment work. Application tools. Then removal gear when needed, including cutting tools, rigging for control, and cleanup and haul-off equipment
Crew: Jim (Owner), Jason (Arborist), office staff, and an experienced Tip Top Arborists crew
Completion Time: The work was done in a timely manner
This was a two-stage problem. Try to help a declining mimosa first. If it still fails, remove it safely and leave the yard clean.
“We contacted Tip Top Arborists to help us with our dying mimosa tree. Jason came out and was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and personable. He diagnosed our tree and told us what they could do to help us save it. The work was done in a timely manner, and we were pleased with the results. Unfortunately, our tree died some time later (no fault on their part.). Tip Top came out and removed it for us at an extremely reasonable price. Everyone in the company from the owner Jim, the arborist Jason, the secretary, and all the workers were very professional, caring, and truly wanted the best for us. I would recommend them to anyone anytime!”
Tip Top Arborists has been working in Southern California since 1976. When a tree is struggling, the worst move is guessing. Or rushing straight to a saw. You want someone to look at the whole picture first and explain what’s worth trying, what’s a long shot, and what signs to watch.
And if the tree doesn’t bounce back, the next step should still be handled with care. Safe removal. Respect for the yard. No mess left behind.
Step 1: Jason inspected the mimosa and shared what he saw, in a way Susan could actually follow.
Step 2: Options were laid out clearly, including what could be tried to help the tree and what to watch for.
Step 3: The agreed work was completed without delay, and Susan said she was pleased with the results at that point.
Step 4: Later, the tree died anyway, and Susan stated it wasn’t Tip Top’s fault.
Step 5: Tip Top returned and removed the mimosa for an extremely reasonable price.
Step 6: The removal stayed controlled and the yard was cleaned up so it didn’t look like a jobsite when the crew left.

We do. Diagnosis first. Then options. Want to know what’s realistic? We’ll tell you.
It happens. Sometimes the tree is already too far gone. In this case, Susan said it was no fault on Tip Top.
Yes. Separate scope. Clear price. Want it removed cleanly and fairly? That’s how we run it.
Susan got a knowledgeable diagnosis, timely work, and a team that treated her with care throughout the process. When the mimosa later died, Tip Top returned and removed it at a price she described as extremely reasonable, then left the yard clean.
She praised everyone involved, from Jim to Jason to the office and field crew, and said she would recommend Tip Top to anyone, anytime.
Tip Top Arborists can assess what’s happening, walk you through the options, and take the tree down cleanly if removal becomes the safest move.
